Natalie is a freshman at Marist College with a double major in Criminal Justice and Spanish. She is from California, but enjoys being on the East Coast and lending a hand around the Poughkeepsie community. An active member of Campus Ministry, Natalie participates in various community service projects and even drives the students in the Campus Ministry van to their volunteer locations.
Kathleen O’Keefe is the Associate Director of the Mount Saint Mary College Career Center, and has been volunteering with United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region for several years. In addition to various volunteer activities, Kathleen serves on United Way’s Education Council. This April, Kathleen and her colleagues teamed up to celebrate National Volunteer Week by donating her time to Dress For Success at the Community Action Partnership for Dutchess County.

Today Kevin Cleary, United Way Board Member and Vice President of Sales at IBM, visited Book Buddies at Gov. Clinton Elementary School.
Annette Sullivan began working at United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region just over two years ago. Currently, she serves as the Executive Assistant and Board Liaison to the President & CEO, Jeannie Montano. Before joining United Way, Annette was an employee of IBM and had a career that spanned 35 years. “Ever since I started at IBM, I donated to United Way. The work of United Way has always interested me,” explains Annette.
As the daughter of two prominent community leaders in Dutchess County, giving back has always been an ingrained philosophy for Julia Pagones. “Growing up I was always taught the importance of giving back and making a difference in the community. I know how much of an impact one person can have,” explains Julia.
Michelle Nepton has had a “whirlwind of a year!” Michelle joined United Way just over a year ago to manage United Way’s workplace campaigns throughout Dutchess and Orange Counties. Just recently she was promoted to Donor Development Manager and looks forward to her new job seeking foundational support for United Way.
Damien Cole, a local Poughkeepsie resident and Nubian Directions YouthBuild/AmeriCorps member, is dedicated to volunteering.
Nubian Directions works to provide technology training, work readiness skills and educational support services for youth and adults to enhance the workforce. They are well known for their community development activities.
