An immersive leadership program, United Way’s Loaned Executive Program is designed to be a rewarding opportunity for your organization, employees, United Way and, most importantly, our community. United Way calls on you, our corporate parters, to lend your best and brightest employees this year to help in all aspects of community engagement while they gain experience in project management, communication, public speaking, professional networking, relationship building and corporate social  responsibility impact. Loaned Executives (LEs) assist United Way in fundraising, engaging volunteers and event planning. In return, United Way provides ongoing professional development that focuses directly on executive skill building.

Boosts organization visibility and strengthens external relations with other organizations through contacts and working relationships
Increases number of employees with advanced leadership potential
Free professional training at no cost to your organization
Meet your corporate social responsibility goals by impacting the quality of life in the community where your organization conducts business
Recognition as community leader at various United Way campaign events, including our annual Celebration of Service awards dinner in the spring; on website and program materials
 
Increased confidence and leadership ability, communication, public speaking, creative thinking, problem solving, negotiation, project and time management skills
Ongoing hands-on professional development workshops and experiences
Close interaction with key community leaders and corporations to expand professional network
Opportunity to have a direct impact on mobilizing resources to create measurable and lasting change in the community
Lifetime of valuable community connections and friendships

Demonstrate commitment to accountability and follow-through

Attend United Way-led professional development training
Serve as liaison between United Way and top local businesses
Educate the community about United Way at meetings, presentations and at volunteer events
Report weekly progress to United Way Staff
 
Loan United Way your employee for 2 hours per week from September through June
