United Way promotes volunteerism to benefit local nonprofits in Dutchess & Orange Counties

United Way of Dutchess-Orange Region will celebrate Make A Difference Week from October 19th to 24th. The five Make A Difference Day projects will provide people and businesses with an opportunity to volunteer to help their local communities.

Volunteer teams from local businesses will have the opportunity to work with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Dutchess County, Dress for Success Dutchess, Food Bank of Hudson Valley and the Newburgh Armory Unity Center.

Last year during, 1,302 volunteers helped nonprofits through our region during United Way's seven Days of Caring. The estimated economic impact was $755,104.
