Are you a low-income resident of the City of Poughkeepsie facing health and wellness issues? If so, we want to hear from you. United Way of Dutchess-Orange Region will be hosting a community listening session on Saturday, March 4th, from 9:30am to 12:00pm at The New Hope Center (104 Hudson Ave, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601). Register online at bit.ly/healthierpoughkeepsie.
The listening session will cover topics such as health and wellness, access to nutritious foods, obesity prevention, mental health, substance abuse and healthcare services. The goal of this listening session is to bring the community together to discuss their needs to create a healthier Poughkeepsie. To help make our community healthier, we need your voice to improve the health and quality of life of every person in our Poughkeepsie community.
“Part of our mission at United Way is to fight for the health of every person in our community,” stated Jeannie Montano, President & CEO of United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region. “Thanks to our partnership with the New York State Department of Health, on March 4th, we are inviting City of Poughkeepsie residents to speak to the changes they see are needed to ensure their health and wellness.”
