We would like to salute one of our Top Campaigns – UPS. Thank you UPS for all you do for United Way and our community!
Over the holiday period it would have been hard to miss the many UPS trucks on the road delivering packages to our homes and workplaces. It has been great to hear about UPS drivers being saluted on their routes by residents who value them as essential workers, who day-in, day-out, rain, snow or shine, drop off deliveries from early morning until late in the evening.
At United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region, we would like to send our own thanks and appreciation to UPS and UPS Freight employees for all they do for our community year-round. UPS is a longtime Top Campaign, with generous employee, corporate and foundation giving that enables us to impact lives in our community each and every day. Although they work long hours, UPS and UPS Freight employees volunteer their time throughout the year to participate in group volunteer projects at the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, Pets Alive, Poughkeepsie Farm Project and other local organizations. In addition UPS employees help with the success of the United Way’s Gift-in-Kind program by transporting new donated merchandise from retailers to our United Way office. With help from UPS employees, we were able to distribute over $200,000 worth of essential items to vulnerable children and families throughout our region last year.
To all our friends at UPS – Thank You! Your support will continue to positively impact lives in the Dutchess-Orange Region in 2021!
