Young Leaders United invite prospective members to a Holiday Party at Mill House Brewing Company on Dec 10th

Young Leaders United of the United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region invite prospective members to attend their annual holiday party on Thursday, December 10th, to be held at the Mill House Brewing Company (289 Mill Street, Poughkeepsie) from 6:00 to 9:00pm.

“Our Young Leaders are energetic, talented community leaders passionate about mobilizing the resources of our community to create lasting and sustainable impact,” stated Kimberly Kochem, Vice President of Community Impact. “They can be found volunteering once a week for Literacy Connections’ Book Buddies program, advocating for United Way at community events, as well as participating in national volunteer days (United Way’s Days of Caring) and spearheading donation and food drives throughout the year.”

The Holiday Party is sponsored by Marist College and admission is free, however attendees are asked to bring a gift card from a local supermarket (Stop & Shop, Price Chopper, Hannaford, Adams Fairacre Farms) that will be donated to residents of Grace Smith House or House of Hope. Last year the Young Leaders raised more than $500 in gift cards at their holiday party.

Committed, passionate, and generous members of the community, ages 21 to 40, who wish to make a positive difference are encouraged to attend this gathering. For more information and an application, go to www.uwdor.org/ylu.
