Wearing Denim to raise awareness
Every Friday, here at United Way we look forward to dressing down. To wearing jeans and usually a United Way "Live United" tee. But today, Wednesday, April 24, we're joining United Way employees around the country to wear denim as a way to show solidarity for survivors of sexual assault.

Why I Volunteer by Kevin Cleary
I grew up in Bainbridge New York, a small upstate New York town where dairy farming was the major occupation. Bainbridge did have an Elmer’s Glue factory, which employed about 150 people, but farming was the way of life for most residents. I learned at an early age the importance of helping your neighbor in need because you never knew when you’d need help in return. With only 1,500 residents Bainbridge depended on volunteers to staff our Fire Department, Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce, Grange, Lions Club, Little League, and many other civic organizations.
