United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region believes that diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental pillars in our mission to advocate for every person's health, education, and financial stability in our community.
The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee promotes all dialogue in support of our community members, regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, physical ability, or background. Through our 21-Day Racial Equity Challenge, we engaged with our community to localize the national conversation about race, finding great success in providing resources about topics that affect us all.
We welcome our nonprofit partners, volunteers, and the greater Dutchess-Orange region to join us in our mission to continue driving our mission through DEI:
Diversity - Embracing all backgrounds through education and community conversations.
Equity - Understanding differences among people's lived experiences and their respective social, economic, and political needs.
Inclusion - Empowering our employees, nonprofit partners, and community members to be themselves while working with United Way.
