Matthew Cruz is a lifelong resident of Dutchess County and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary with DSL Financial Services for the past 15 years. DSL Financial Services is a locally, family-owned business started by Matthew’s step-father back in 1987. Matthew specializes in family wealth management and pensions consulting services for small to mid-size business.
He currently serves on The Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie board as co-chair of the Investment Committee helping oversee their endowment and is chair of the 403(b) committee for the organization helping them fulfill all their fiduciary requirements. He also serves on the Roosevelt Vanderbilt Historical Association board and serves as the current Treasurer.
Matthew believes deeply in giving back to the community and continues to volunteer his time with many of the local nonprofits. He established the Little Library Project within Hyde Park to help promote literacy for individuals and has been an active member in the Hyde Park Rotary Club.
Matthew graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Geneseo with a BS in Business Administration. He is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and College of Financial Planning Graduate who holds the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®) and Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) designations. He also holds his General Principals Series 24 license and his general security licenses (7 and 63).
Matthew resides in Hyde Park for the last 15 years with his wife Kate and has three children Amelia, Natalie, and Leo.
