Serving those who serve
The United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region is dedicated to increasing accessibility to affordable housing and legal services for veterans and their families.
Mission United
No one should have to navigate life after service alone. Through MISSION UNITED we fight for those who fought for us.
MISSION UNITED connects veterans, active-duty service members, and their families to the support they need to thrive. We help military-connected individuals identify their goals and take meaningful steps toward long-term self-sufficiency. Whether you’re transitioning from military to civilian life, looking to gain financial stability, or needing help navigating community resources, MISSION UNITED is here to walk beside you.
Instead of having to navigate a complex web of disconnected services, we coordinate services and provide additional resources to bridge the gap. All it takes is one phone call to United Way's 2-1-1 help line for veterans to connect to a case coordinator who guides them through the process - from beginning to end.
For nearly 80 years, United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region has forged an indispensable regional network of partners, including: nonprofits, public agencies, and healthcare systems. Together, we strive to help the 40,000 veterans living in Dutchess & Orange counties receive the services and support they need; whether it is housing assistance, legal assistance, or employment-related training and education, we proudly serve those who have served.
