The Field Hall Foundation provides $15,000 grant to support seniors in Dutchess County facing a financial crisis.

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – October 21, 2025
At a check presentation today, United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region received a $15,000 grant from the Field Hall Foundation to support United Way’s Crisis Fund. The grant will support at least 30 seniors facing a financial emergency in Dutchess County.

Founded in 2019, United Way’s Crisis Fund was established to help households respond to immediate crisis or hardship. The Crisis Fund helps residents address their short-term financial crisis before it becomes a financial catastrophe. Recognizing seniors on fixed incomes as a vulnerable population in changing times, United Way created the Crisis Fund for Seniors Program, a program component of our Crisis Fund established in 2023, to directly meet the crisis needs of those aged over 60 in Dutchess County.

Jeannie Montano, President & CEO of United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region, said, “We are thrilled with our ongoing partnership with the Field Hall Foundation and grateful for their support of seniors living in Dutchess County. With Dutchess County demographics advancing in age and older residents more likely to be on fixed incomes, it is crucial to increase access to and scope of support for individuals aged 60 and above experiencing financial hardship.”

United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region supports over 25,000 households annually with essential supplies and crisis funding. If you would like to support United Way’s programming or learn more about their work in the community, go to www.uwdor.org.
