2026 PULL A TANK- MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!
Thanks to the dedication of participants and generous sponsors, the event raised over $65,000 to support Mission United, a program committed to serving veterans and military families throughout the region.
Thirteen teams — each comprising 20 members from local businesses, joined by a team of local veterans — competed to pull a World War II Combat Sherman Tank mounted on a flatbed, an awe-inspiring 120,000 pounds, a distance of 50 feet, racing to record the fastest time.
Defending champions Hannaford Supermarket claimed the title for the third consecutive year, crossing the finish line in an impressive 19.90 seconds.
Special thanks are also due to Bud Walker for graciously lending his WWII Sherman Tank and sharing the remarkable history behind this iconic piece of American heritage.
Every dollar raised will help veterans access vital services, including housing assistance, legal support, mental health treatment, and basic necessities.
