Celebrating Community Kindness

United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region (UWDOR) hosted a 2025 Kindness Champion event. Kindness is a powerful force that can transform lives. It's about empathy, compassion, and a willingness to help others, no matter how small the gesture. As quoted by Mark Twain, “Kindness is the language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see”. Every fall, UWDOR celebrates the individuals who are making a positive impact on our community through their acts of kindness.
