Lunch with ALICE
A Conversation on Financial Hardship in Dutchess & Orange Counties
A Virtual Event via Zoom | Thursday, August 27 | 12:00 – 1:00 PM
Join United Way of the Dutchess-Orange Region for a Lunch with ALICE, a virtual conversation on the newest ALICE data and what it means for our community.
ALICE stands for Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are our neighbors who earn above the Federal Poverty Level but still can't afford the basics (housing, child care, food, transportation, and health care). Right now, that's 30% of Dutchess County residents and 35% of Orange County residents, in addition to those already living below the poverty line.

At this lunch, we'll dig into what the newest State of ALICE in New York report tells us about our region, who ALICE households are, what's changed, and where the greatest needs remain, and talk about what it will take to move the needle.
